It would take an army of bookkeepers to track the massive volume of customer accounts that today's banks handles and they would never be able to work fast enough to give anything like accurate accounting information to even a small portion of their customers. No, today's big business relies heavily on business computers. The Business Computers employed in the communications industry are a vital link for most businesses in any and every industry. Without business computers, the telecommunications industry as we know it would not exist. There would be no instantaneous long-distance connections between far-flung companies. With business computers this type of communication is not only possible for a few key businesses, but businessmen computers make it a reality for every business anywhere in the world. And business computers make it possible for this type of communication to be happening simultaneously for hundreds of thousands of businesses and tens of millions of people 24 hours a day seven days a week 365 days a year, every year, year in and year out for decades now. All of this is just one infinitesimal part of what business computers do for business all the time. Business computers have become so commonplace that it is hard to imagine the business world as it exists today without business computers. Business computers do so much for us that most people wouldn't have a job or at least wouldn't be able to do their job without business computers.
