Fashion magazines are everywhere, in every country and every language although the universal language of photo images is what fashion magazines are about, that and advertising dollars...Fashion magazines are designed to target certain markets. Fashion magazines appeal to almost all ages of readers. Fashion magazines exist to sell fashion. There has even been a movie centered around a fashion magazine. And it was quite entertaining. Fashion magazines are created to illustrate what the newest, and upcoming fashions will be be. And when the viewing public gets a hold of these fashion magazines, they are inspired to go out and shop for the contents of the what they saw in their fashion magazine. Of course, people end up with copies of the original designer fashions seen in the fashion magazines as most of the items are top of the line, meaning costing top dollar. Some magazines, however show the reader how to create certain fashion looks without having to buy expensive designer originals. And some of these fashion magazines also show the reader how to use some of what they own from the previous fashion trend. Some people depend heavily on their fashion magazines for a lot of their fashion ideas. And even though there is almost all of the content in some form, on the internet, there is a level of satisfaction lounging around with your fashion magazine, flipping through the pages and folding corners down to form your wish list and taking the little quizzes that the fashion magazines often have. Yes, they are available online too, but the fashion magazine is still a great thing to have and to handle. The first fashion magazine to come out in America was in 1867 and the first online fashion magazine was available in 1995. There are fashion magazines that target young teens. These magazines groom the youngsters to be consumers of fashion magazines later in life and also to shop, shop, shop for all the fashions that can be seen throughout the pages of their fashion magazines. Fashion magazines do not seem to appeal to young boys as much as they do to young girls, but there is a bigger interest in fashion magazines for young men. Still, it is women who create the demand for fashion magazines. Ironically, it is men who create most of the fashion pictured within the fashion magazines themselves.
