In America, the soccer fields are usually 53.33 yards wide and hundred yards long. On the other hand, in Canada, the field of play is usually sixty-five yards wide and hundred and ten yards long. Goal Posts In Canadian football, the goal posts are usually located at the front. On the other hand, the American soccer goal posts are usually located at the back of the end zone. What is more, the goal posts are also much more deeper in Canadian version of the game in comparison to that in the American version. Number of Players Interestingly, the Canadian football and American football also differ in the number of players who play in a team. The American team has the usual eleven players, as is the case in most of the countries. On the other hand, the total number of players in the Canadian version of the game usually has eleven players. Number of Downs The Canadian and American version of football also has differences when it is about the total number of downs. In American version of the game, this number is four. On the other hand, in the Canadian version of the game, the total number of downs is three. The Kicking Rules The kicking rules are also different in the Canadian and American version of football. In Canada, the kicker is allowed to recover and advance his own kick. That is the reason, why kicking is considered to be an integral part of the Canadian football in comparison to the American football.
